FUEL FACTOR AND COGENERATION
PROCEEDING FOR
THE POTOMAC EDISON COMPANY
On October 16, 1992, The Potomac Edison Company ("Potomac") filed an application with the State Corporation Commission for an increase in its fuel factor. Potomac is proposing to increase its current fuel factor of 1.215c /kwh to 1.412e/kWh to become effective with December, 1992 cycle bills rendered on and after December 4, 1992. Potomac has also filed written testimony and exhibits to support its proposal to reduce the rates to be paid for power purchased from cogeneration and small power production facilities. Pursuant to Virginia Code 56-249.6, the Commission has scheduled a public hearing to commence at 10:00 a.m., on December 3, 1992, in the Commission's 13th Floor Courthouse, Jefferson Building, Bank and Governor Streets, Richmond, Virginia, for the establishment of Potomac's fuel factor and cogeneration rates.
