Neither son, nor gloom of night, not even the rain, dampened the spirits of 11 brave souls Saturday or Sunday to be among the number who triumphed over the elements to hike to the Mary Frazier (Joe Billy Bowen) cemetery or the Dwyer cemetery.
Saturday, we met at 10 o’clock at Thornton Gap Primitive Baptist Church. That is, Mr. Stnaley Frazier of Woodstock and his two sons, Andy Frazier from North Carolina and Garth Frazier also from Woodstock, Jack Frazier and daughter Faith Ann, from Culpeper, Wayne Baldwin of Leon, Jennie Cornell Frazier of Luray and Bruce Sloane, son-in-law of Mrs. Louis of Old Hollow. The last two being picked up at their respective residences. Jennie being over in Rappahannock for two weeks with her mother Ida Dwyer Cornell.
