Again the bad food was put on the shelf for consumers, according to the report.
A deli department employee was filmed allegedly putting rice pudding, which had been returned by a customer because it was bad, on top of a batch of fresh pudding.
Warrenton Food Lion manager Don Rouker said there was no way in the world those types of activities — if in fact they did occurr — could happen at his store.
“I couldn’t live with myself," Rouker said. “I’ve got a family to feed and my wife shops here.”
Beth Forry, who works in the store’s front office said, “we’re all upset.
“We work long, hard hours here and we think we’re doing a pretty good job,” she said.
Food Lion deli department manager Ruth Kesner said the program was an insult to all Food Lion workers.
