To the Editor:
In your Wednesday, Nov. 4, 1992, edition, in reporting on the election results in Virginia and Rappahannock County, you state that President Bush’s victory in Rappahannock marks .only the second time since Truman defeated Dewey in 1948 that a Republican has not won a majority of the votes for president in Rappahannock County.”
You then go on to state that “The only other time was in 1964 when President Johnson carried Rappahannock County (and Virginia as well) against Sen. Barry Goldwater of Arizona."
