John Trott was one of those individuals who could not.
L. John Trott, Jr., 73, who wrote a nature column, "All Things Wild and Wonderful," for the Rappahannock News, died Wednesday, Sept. 6, in Warren Memorial Hospital in Front Royal, where he had been taken early that morning.
Trott, who lived in Flint Hill with his wife Lenore Miller Trott, was respected especially as an ornithologist and was known for his wildlife photography. He was a retired naturalist/teacher who taught in several schools in Florida, North Carolina and most recently, in Northern Virginia.
His students remember him fondly as someone with a boundless enthusiasm for his subjects - nature, English and American History - and who was able to inspire that enthusiasm in his students.
