SZ: "No but my Grandmother is a very fine painter. Because of her influence on my folks, they were very encouraging of me. Lorene Nickel who I mentioned is probably my most intimate example of proper way of approaching art - being thorough and taking a very comprehensive, realistic approach. You have to practice the craft until you reach a high level of professionalism.”
