The cost for the program is $90, which includes the Virginia Master Gardener Handbook. Citizens interested in the program should call the Fauqdier Extension Office at 341-7950 extension 14. An orientation session will be scheduled for midOctober in the Extension Office, at which time additional information on the program and registration forms will be available.
Persons with disabilities that may require any assistive devices, services, or other accommodations to participate in this activity should contact the Fauquier Extension Office between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to discuss accommodations one week prior to the event.

The Friends of the Rappahannock will sponsor the 10th annual Rappahannock Riverfest from 5-9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, to benefit protection of the Rappahannock River.
Admission includes an all-you-can-eat Chesapeake blue crab feast, plus steamship round of beef dinner and an open bar. There will be live music (jazz, classical guitar, pop, and folk), live and silent auctions and guided tours of George Washington's Ferry Farm.
Tickets are $45 per person and are sold in advance only. Only 750 tickets will be sold. They are available at several Fredericksburg outlets and by calling Friends of the Rappahannock, (540) 3733448.
