PUBLIC HEARING: AMENDMENT TO THE ZONING CHAPTER OF THE RAPPAHANNOCK COUNTY CODE Relating to Erosion & Sedimentation Control Regulations The Board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County shall hold a public hearing on the following proposed amendments to the Rappahannock County Code on Monday, October 2, 2000 at 7:00 p.m. at the Courthouse in Washington, VA. The amendments are as follows: 1 Amend §98-8 B. by adding a definition as follows: , AGREEMENT IN LIEU OF A PLAN - means a contract between the plan approving authority and the owner which specifies conservation measures which must be implemented in the construction of a single family residence; this contract may be executed by the Plan-approving authority in lieu of a formal site plan. 2. Amend §98-8 B. by amending the definition for PLAN-APPROVING AUTHORITY by adding at the end of the existing text: In cases of an Agreement in Lieu of a Plan, the Plan Approving » Authority shall be the Administrator. 3. Delete §98-9 (F.), entirely and re-letter succeeding exemptions. 4. Amend §98-12 by adding a new section, to read: D. Where the land disturbing activity results from the construction of a * single-family residence, an agreement in lieu of a plan may be | substituted for an erosion and sediment control plan if executed by i the plan approving authority.
