have come to know, has left us suddenly. John Trott will be remembered by many, young and old, whose lives he touched with his incredible knowledge of the natural world and his enthusiasm for sharing it with others. John was a master at connecting people with nature.
I was lucky enough to have him as my 7th grade teacher at Burgundy Farm Country Day School (and lucky also to have Lee Trott as my first grade teacher!) Another of John's talents was a great sense of humor, which as a teacher led him to share James Thurber with us and had us rolling in the classroom aisles!
The Burgundy Center for Wildlife Studies in Capon Bridge W.Va. is just part of the legacy he leaves behind. He certainly left his mark on this world. So many are richer for his being a part of our lives.
