Brown bag sale planned The Washington Ladies Auxiliary Thrift Shop will have a brown bag sale on Wednesday, Sept. 20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Price is $3 per bag.

Cancer Society to sponsor program All Rappahannock citizens are encouraged to attend a program sponsored by the American Cancer Society Board of Rappahannock County. The program, Prostate Cancer Concerns and Updates will feature speaker, Dr. David M. Pfeffer. The program will be held Thursday, Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Library. Payne family to gather The annual Payne reunion will be held Sept. 16 at the Rappahannock Park beginning at 10 a.m. Bring a covered dish and drink. All relatives and friends are invited. Bike-a-thon scheduled Reynolds Memorial Church will be holding a bike-a-thon to raise money for St. Judes Children's Research Hospital on Saturday, Sept. 30. Call Karen Ellis at 987-7212.

Dodson family reunion set The family of the late Ernest Dodson and Neva Nicholson Dodson will gather for a reunion on Sunday, Sept. 17 at the Rappahannock Recreation Center. Lunch will be served at 1 p.m. All relatives and friends are welcome and should bring a covered dish.
