Hiserman, Lindsay Neill-Dore, Ryisha Cooke, and Hope Jacobs will be supported by eight graders Rachel Gall, Anna Rreyling, Kelsey Hutcheson, Mattie Nawrocki, Danielle North, Lauren Powell, and Sarah Mills.

The Cross Country team is off and running under the leadership of Mike Weir and newcomer, Mark Ramey. After participating in a large scrimmage at Stonewall Jackson High School in the valley, the RCHS cross country team lost a dual meet at Brentsville.

They are now preparing for their first home contest which is a dual meet on Sept. 20 against Manassas Park on the Bleu Rock Inn course across from the high school.

Junior runner, Phillip Thomas has been pacing the boys and sophomore, Alyssa Berry, has been the girls' leader. Phillip finished 14th out of 140 boys and Alyssa finished seventh out of 95 girls in the Stonewall Jackson scrimmage.

Sophomore, Rachel Sharp, has been less than a minute behind Alyssa in each of these 5K races.

A busy fall schedule lies ahead of these runners along with their other team members: Seniors: Sara Thomas, Chris Graves, and John Sheffield, Juniors: Holly Long, Matthew Ralston and Benjamin Price, Sophomores: Kori Alexander, Elaine Smith, Karie Beth VonFange, and Jason Gainer, Freshman: Katherine Giles, Erica Hilscher, Erin Opseth, Chris Ehrhart, and eighth grader: Ethan Berry.
