By Hazel Zinn-Day 4-H Program Support Technician, Senior There are new, exciting monthly 4-H clubs starting this September in the Rappahannock County 4-H program. In the village of Flint Hill a new 4-H club will focus on many of the programs offered through 4H. Under the adult volunteer leadership of Shannon Swain, the first meeting will be held at the Flint Hill Fire Hall on Tuesday, Sept. 19 at 7 p.m. This new 4-H club is open to any youth ages 9-19 years. Youth over the age of 13 who join will be teen co-leaders and help the members plan their activities for the year. Another new 4-H Junior Club will meet in the Extension Office after school on Sept. 21. This club is for children ges 9-19 years. The focus of this club will be back to basics, learning a little bit about farming in Rappahannock County and making items to put in the local Farm Fair next summer.
