• Schools Superintendent Dr. David Gangel reported on the summer's successful efforts to complete the high school addition, maintenance projects at both schools, and recruiting of new teachers. , He also presented copies of a letter sent to the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality that presents a compliance plan for correcting the RCES lagoon problem.
According to the plan presented, the temporary repair will be completed by January of 2001, and the permanent fix will be completed next summer at an estimated cost of $153,665.
