Rappahannock County’s reputation as a haven for artists is known far and wide. The magic worked again when our newest artist, Suzanne Zylonis, was attracted to the county and bought a home in Flint Hill. Zylonis' chosen medium is ceramics and she specializes in raku, a Japanese method of firing clay. Her work is on display in her Blue Ridge Artisans gallery and studio in the old Faith Mountain store j building across from the Post Office in Sperryville.
Zylonis is witty and engaging as well as creative, welcoming customers to her studio/gallery with a friendly greeting. Her creative energy is evident in the eclectic displays and decorations that include flowers, vines, antiques, and chunks of old wood.
Blue Ridge Artisans is principally an outlet for Zylonis' ceramics but she complements her work with a unique assortment of art, photography and sculpture by fellow artists and friends.
