Karate classes underway

Shorin-Ryu Okinawan Karate classes will be held beginning today, Wednesday, Sept. 13 at Ki Theatre in Washington. Lillard reunion slated

The relatives/descendants of John Henry Lillard are invited are invited to attend a reunion at the Flint Hill fire hall on Sunday, Oct. 1 at 12:30 p.m. Please bring a covered dish.

Auditions announced

Combined auditions for Windmore Community Theater's production of Rogers and Hammerstein's, The Sound of Music and A Broadway Revue will be held on two consecutive Saturdays in September at Culpeper County Middle School. On Saturday, Sept. 16 at 1 p.m. there will be auditions for adult roles in either production and on Saturday, Sept. 23 at 1 p.m. auditions for children's roles in either production will be held. To audition, come prepared to sing a song of your choice; an accompanist will be provided. For more information call 547-2555.

RAWL to hold fund raiser

The Rappahannock Animal Welfare League (RAWL) is holding its 2000 fundraising event on Saturday, Oct. 14. The event will be a dinner with dancing and a silent auction. This will be RAWL's major fund-raising effort for this year. Tickets to the dinner, dance and silent auction will be $75 per person, all of which is tax-deductible. Ccall 636-3308.
