Annual pageant
set for April 28
The Sperryville Volunteer Rescue Squad’s annual Miss Rappahannock Pageant will be held on April 28 at 6 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Elementary School auditorium. Registration will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24 with rehearsal beginning at 6:30 p.m.
The pageant is open to all single female residents of Rappahannock, ages 0-19. Contestants are responsible for getting their own sponsor. The fee is $25 and must be paid at the rehearsal. Admission will be $5 for adults and children 10 and under will be $3. For additional information call Debbie Fantaci at 987-3354.

•April 18 Rappahannock County Planning Commission will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the courthouse. New business items include Pullen family apartment; Zoning Amendment process proposals; Health Club/spa proposals.
• Monday, April 23 Washington Town Planning Commission will meet at the town hall.
• Saturday, April 28 the Democratic Caucus will be held at The Theatre in Washington starting at noon. Five delegates will be elected who will represent Rappahannock at the 10th Congressional Convention on May 19.
