Australia is as large as the United States and definitely as diverse — from the beaches of the northern shores to the mountains that surround Sydney. You can be enchanted by a koala bear at the Sydney Zoo, which overlooks one of the most beautiful harbors in the world, and scared to death by a crocodile while visiting the wetlands in the “Top End.”
You can climb 400 feet up the Sydney Harbor Bridge — something that was reserved for construction workers — to get the most spectacular view of the city, and pat yourself on the back for your achievement. Have a champagne dinner on a harbor cruise. Snorkel and scuba on the Great Barrier Reef, or take a cable car over the lush canopy of a rain forest.
