The MaryBeth Williams Memorial Committee has announced and clarified the guidelines for the MaryBeth Williams scholarship, which is &again being offered to Rappahannock County college students and graduating seniors this spring.
This announcement coincides with the scheduling of the 2001 fund raiser and dinner for the MaryBeth Williams Memorial Fund, which will be held at Meadow Grove Farm, the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Fletcher Massie Jr. on Route 729, on Saturday, April 28 at 4:30 p.m.
The guidelines for the MaryBeth Williams scholarships are as follows:
* Applicants should be a resident of Rappahannock County.
* Applicants majoring in Agriculture and/or active participants in the Rappahannock 4-H Program are given priority consideration.
* The scholarship is generally awarded only one time to an eligible student with the exception of Class B scholarship recipients for the year 2000.
The committee is in the process of accepting applications. Applicants should submit an application together with an essay. Last year, the MaryBeth Williams Committee awarded Class A and Class B scholarships.
