Class B scholarships were awarded to applicants without prejudice to the applicant’s right to apply for a scholarship this year. The Class B scholarships were each in the amount of $500. Five Class B scholarships were awarded by the Committee last year.
The recipient of the Committee’s $1,000 Class scholarship for the year 2000 was Sonya Anderson, a resident of Sperryville who attended Virginia Tech during the 2000-2001 academic year.
The deadline for scholarship applications is May 8. Applications should be mailed or delivered to the office of Douglas K. Baumgardner, The Miller Building, Porter and Main Streets, Washington.
