The Easter Bunny came and went - he brought too much candy and apparently cold weather too.
On Saturday, April 7 Charlie Mills gave his wife Gloria a surprise 60th birth-, day party. A hundred invited guests were in attendance as Gloria walked through the door, and got a huge shock. The party, she was told was for someone else, and came as a total surprise to her.
Several family and friends roasted Gloria and all had wonderful things to say. Gloria was an employee for the Town of Culpeper for many years, she is an active member of the Amissville Baptist Church, and she loves shoes!
The refreshments were from Kidwell Caterers and Donnie Johnson was the photographer. Happy belated birthday Gloria!
On May 20 the Amissville Bethel Baptist Church will be hosting a full concert of good gospel music. The performing group is the Trumpet Kings; they are from Maryland. The concert will be at 3 p.m. and dinner will be served immediately after the morning worship service at 11. Pastor Forrest Freeman invites you to attend, and the Honorable Edward King will be the emcee. Proceeds go to benefit the Cemetery Fund.
