A few bicycles down, Jane Morris and Eileen Davidson laugh and joke. The three of them often share lunch after their workout.
Morris, who has been doing some form of exercise for several years, is a staunch believer. “You feel so much better, it’s worth it.”
“I had a heart attack, that’s why I’m here,” admitted Davidson.
“They are all so sweet,” smiled Kim Sieber, the fitness director at Chestnut Forks. “They are a great group of motivated people.”
All the participants come with a physician’s referral from Fauquier Hospital.
“We always have two instructors at each class,” continued Siebert.
The Silver Circuit is a strength and conditioning program designed for adults over 60 years of age. It also requires a physician’s referral.
Siebert said class members will be given individual instruction on the use of the Nautilus, Sprint and Camstar equipment.
Senior Workout meets Mondays through Thursdays from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. The cost is $25 per month for two days a week, $32 for three days a week.
Silver Circuit meets Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 2-4 p.m.
