Children throughout the region are looking forward to Saturday's Soap Box Derby of Culpeper.
Boys and girls from Culpeper, southern Fauquier, Madison, Orange and Rappahannock comities are eligible to participate in the derby, which is sponsored by Rosson and Troilo Motor.
The Soap Box Derby is a youth racing program for children ages 8 to 17 that began in 1934. World Championship finals are held each July at Derby Downs in Akron, Ohio.
The single-elimination tournament is separated into three divisions: Stock, Super Stock and Masters.
