Plans are also in the works to kick off TORCH Elite, a film-oriented, audition-based group that will enter an April one-act and film competition hosted annually by the Catholic Diocese of Arlington.
“A lot of kids have shown interest in film, so we’d like to branch off with that type of acting and editing,” Galvin said.
In spite of Van Dyke’s reservations, Galvin also said that going the audition route with TORCH could very well be inevitable, in coming years or even the spring of 2008, though she admitted reluctance in announcing it.
