In the June 14 edition of the Rappahannock News, it was reported in n article entitled “Phone troubles pester Slate Mills” that Sharp Rock Vineyards was founded four years ago. Kathy and Jimm East have owned the winery for four years, but the vineyard was started by Marilyn and David Armor in the early 1990s.
