The horses and riders will train at Jackie Mars’ Stonehall Farm in The Plains beginning June 24 and enter quarantine in Ocala, Fla. July 1. The six horses that, will ship to Brazil will leave from Miami on July 11.
The Pan American Games driving team also includes a couple local standouts. Former World Champion Cefnoakpark Bouncer, a Welsh Cob pony gelding owned by Sybil and, Wayne Humphrey of Rapidan, qualified with driver Suzy Stafford, as did Rochelle Temple of Powhatan with her Morgan gelding LR Ami B-Line.
The Pan Am show jumping squad will include new Virginia resident Laura Kraut, who qualified with two horses. Kraut recently moved to an Ohrstrom property near The Plains to train and ride.
