Burger alarm
RCSO deputies responded to a burglar alarm from Burgers and Things in Sperryville. When they arrived, no one was found, but the left door had been kicked in and it appeared that attempts were made to get into the ATM machine. Deputy Jeff Breeden responded to the alarm which alerted the Sheriff’s office around 11:30 p.m. on June 16. Lt. Connie Smith is investigating the attempted burglary.

Virginia Facchina, 64, of Amissville, Va. was charged for Failure to Stay to the Right of Highway, after colliding her 1998 Toyota Corolla into Christopher Boucher, 37, from Hume, Va. Facchina was rounding a curve on Rte. 729 when she struck Boucher; Facchina was transported for treatment. State Trooper Christopher Roop investigated the accident which occurred on June 14 at about 12:30 p.m.
