Rappahannock County’s first conservation easement of 2007 was recorded at mid-day, June 15. Donated to the Virginia Outdoors Foundation by Larry and Charlene Collins, this easement merges two tax parcels into a 100-acre parcel that may never be subdivided, and it permanently protects 1,450 feet of Rappahannock River frontage. Easement protection in the County now totals 21,182 acres — 18.5% of all privately-owned land.
