Gates open at 1 p.m. Benefiting the Sperryville Volunteer Fire Department, they will be located at the Thornton HiUs Hounds Race Course located south of Sperryville on Rt. 522. There will befood, games, music and displays until the fireworks start at dark between 9-9:30 p.m. General Parking: $10; Tailgate Parking: $20 per car; Business/Corporate Section: $250 includes space for tent, reserved spot for one vehicle and five general admission tickets. r July 4: Charity lemonade stand

Baby Bear Daycare and Preschool of Sperryville will be sponsoring a charity lemonade stand at the Sperryville July 4th Celebration. There wfil be ice cold lemonade and baked goodies made by the children at Baby Bear Daycare and Preschool. ALL proceeds will go to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network LemonAid project and will help give cancer treatments to children. If you have any questions or would like to help for an hour or two, please contact Connie at 987-9644. July 4: “Patriotic Costume Parade”

The 4th of July festivities in Sperryville will include a “Patriotic Costume Parade” at 5 p. m., organized by the Rappahannock County Democratic Committee. Parade participants of all ages are welcome. “Come strut your patriotic reds, whites and blues in this fun foot parade (no vehicles permitted). Line up for the parade will begin at 4:30 p.m. on the grounds of the Thornton Hills Hounds Race Course. For information on the parade, call Jeanne Dixon at 675-1942.
