I suppose if I invested the time to read a few of the selfhelp books and some of the stories they put in magazines about organizing your garage, organizing your closet and your life, I wouldn’t lead such a cluttered existence. But every time I say something like, we should throw out that old blue tarp in the garage, it’s tattered and ugly and we don’t use it for anything. And then I throw it out, it’s only a day or two, or a week, at most, before I’m saying, honey, where is that old blue tarp. I need it to cover up the (insert one) lawnmower, tiller, wet concrete.
That’s the tail twister that keeps me accumulating stuff mostly junk. And, I thought I had a terminal case of this disease, until my bride told me a story about our daughter, Molly.
Molly just bought her first house. And, since you have never been properly introduced, I could go on about her academic prowess, her artistic talents, and her life’s chosen work, but you would just write that off as the ravings of a proud father. And, to some extent, you would be right. So,
