Position will manage various youth leadership and education programs, ensuring quality and content of program design and implementation. Oversight of Youth After School(YAS) program for middle school students at 9 middle schools. Develop, grow and maintain partnerships with YMCA, Boys and Girls Club, faith based organizations and other youth agencies and groups. Lead Youth Services Division Information and Assistance programs. Supervise staff, volunteers, and oversee YAS staff training. Participate on Advisory Commission on Youth (ACOY). Develop budget plan for Youth Development program and manage grants and donations. Demonstrated expertise in successful partnering with other agencies; experience creating new programs, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, strong organizational skills; experience working with youth in a recreational setting. Some evening and weekends hours. Requires Bachelors degree in Recreation, Education or related field with three years experience working with youth, which must include a minimum of one year of experience supervising staff. Prefer one year experience managing grants. CPR, First Aid, and valid Drivers License required. DMV check required for successful candidate.
