Best to the

Ballards

The Ballards are definitely bucking the trend for local retail businesses. They’re celebrating ten years and looking to last even longer yet. The Town of Washington needs more businesses like the Ballards so that when locals go looking or visitors come ogling, there’s lots for them to see and buy. Let’s face it, when people come to Main Street, whether or not they are eating or staying at the Inn at Little Washington, there is little to do once they’ve strolled past Ballards. And the Ballards would be the first to admit that while they have done well and are now reaping the benefits of their reputation, they’d like to see others do as well. Old Town Front Royal, Old Town Warrenton, and Old Town Culpeper have several shops to choose from and one store feeds off the other. When the Ballards celebrate 20 years in business perhaps they will be sharing their success with others that have followed their example.
