the pastor at Macedonia. Rev. Homer served faithfully for 36 years until his death in 1901.
In 1902 Rev. T.T. Hedgeman was selected as the second pastor. During his leadership, a pulpit set was purchased, a building committee was established, the church was raised three feet and electricity was put in. Rev. D.J. Bradford, a teacher in our community at this time, worked very hard on this project until completed. In November of 1942, Rev. Hedgeman became ill. On January 23, 1943 this committed minister died after serving the congregation faithfully for 40 years.
Rev. Thomas L. Proctor was installed as the third pastor in October of 1943. Rev. L.M. Carroll preached the Installation Sermon. Under Rev. Thomas Proctor’s leadership, the following things were accomplished: a financial outreach to meet the needs of the community, a Junior Deacon Board was organized; the church was remodeled and later
