James “Bob” Robert Johnson, 86, of Luray died June 17 at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester.
Mr. Johnson was bom June 17, 1921 in Sperryville to the late Lawrence Elmo Johnson and Eva Love (Beahm) Johnson.
He served in World War II.
Mr. Johnson had worked for Shenandoah National Park as a park ranger.
He was a member of Luray Lions Club, Shenandoah National P&rk Assoc., Civil War Battle Fields Preservation Assoc., Civil War Round Table and a member of the Front Royal V. F. W. Post 1120.
In addition to his parents, his wife Stella (Dennis) Johnson, and a brother, Carson Johnson, predeceased him.
Mr. Johnson is survived by two sons, James Hartwell Johnson of Shenandoah, Va., and Dennis Blane Johnson of Luray, and a daughter-in-law, Brenda S. Johnson of Shenandoah, Va.
Also surviving is a brother, ' Allen Johnson of New Market,
