Burke
Judd Burke, 83, of Flint Hill died Saturday, June 26, 1982, in Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal. Funeral services were conducted Monday at the Maddox Funeral Home by the Rev. William Alford and Rev. John K. Burke. Burial was at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Front Royal. Mr. Burke was born March 18, 1899, in Rappahannock County, son of the late Charles Lewis and Bessie Jenkins Burke. Surviving are his widow, Alice Houghton Burke; a son, Charles Burke of Richmond; three daughters, Virginia Corder of Manassas, Marie Clatterbuck of Centreville and Mary Elizabeth Burke of FaHs Church; two stepdaughters, Marie Swift of Hopewell and Louise Montgomery of Front Royal; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, Charles C. Burke of Washington, Winson Burke of Petersburg and Isaiah Burke of Berryville.

A five intensive seminar sponsored by the Realtors National Marketing Institute was held at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.
This three part series of study groups entitles participants, upon completion and after testing, to add the letters G.R.I. to their titles. "More than that," according to Eileen M. Day who, together with her associates, Mitzie Young and Lisa Day attended part one, “it upgrades one's skills and promotes better service to the community which we serve.”
The course, which ran from Monday thru Friday, included 31 hours of lectures by prominent persons in the field of Real Estate.
