Store has weekly specials and supplies for your 4th cf July picnic on the lawn at Avon Hall. If your planning a cook-^i't later, buy some meat at the Corner Store. Rappahannock natives come there from as far away as Chester Gap and Amissville to buy their fresh beef. And while you’re there, look at the antiques that have been collected in the room off the store.

Just up the road a short way from the Corner Store is Faith Mountain Herbs and Antiques, run by Cheri and Martin Woodard. As you might guess from its name, Faith Mountain has herbs and spices of every description, crafts using herbs such as wreaths and dried arrangements, sachets and herb brooms and other gifts and country treasures. Among the herbs and crafts, Cheri has arranged antiques both in her store showrooms and in actual room situations. If you notice a lot of whimsical straw hats around town on the 4th, chances are they’re ones that Cheri has created in her Sperryville workshop. Faith
