Preference

To the editor: This is just to say I preferred Will Hoare’s letter to Pat Saltonstall’s.

Warrants More

To the editor:

If there is a problem with the work of the Equalization Board, it warrants more intelligible and objective presentation than we’ve seen to date. Ms. Saltonstall’s strident, confused rambling, punctuated by unseemly and dull-witted personal attacks, does little to advance clear understanding of the issue.

Serious Issue

To the editor:

A serious issue deserves better than the inaccuracies, exaggerations, erratic arithmetic and muddled metaphors which characterize Pat Saltonstall's letter and first guest column. One thing emerges clearly from this muddied verbiage: her intellect has been greatly overtaxed. I have reduced my assessment accordingly.
