REPORT CORN ACREAGE - Corn producers who have finished planting should report the acreage planted to the ASCS office. This u ill protect the base for future farm program participation. The report must be a field by field report and be signed by the operator or owner.

Those farmers who are participating in the reduced acreage program must also report the conservation use acreage.

CONSERVATION USE ACREAGE - The Conservation Use (C.U.) acreage on farms participating in the reduced acreage program must be:

1 - Cropland devoted to a grain crop in 1980 or 1981 or hay in 1980 and 1981 in rotation w ith a grain crop.

2 - Devoted to a cover such as grasses or legumes, small grain or residue from a no till practice. Old stands of grasses and legumes must be clipped once during the growing season. C. U. Acreage may be worked and seeded to a crop for harvest in 1983. No harvesting is permitted during 1982. C. U. may be grazed after Sept. 30th.
