valuable asset of holding the students in primary concern...All these eredits, lately it seems, are merely prerequisites for being fired!
How can we afford to lose the very people whose talent and devotion we should hold foremost in our strivings to acquire excellence?
Personally, I detest losing teachers of rare ability only to find when they leave us that the assets we once called our own are being lavished upon other communities. We in Rappahannock County are being cheated out of the values we now have at hand and our generation to come shall be the poorer for it.
When our own School Board dismisses teachers of this rare quality and dedication for minimal andor trumped-up reasons, especially when the public themselves express opposite desires. 1, for one, tend to smell ulterior motives.
When we of the Rappahannock School community are fortunate enough to find such dedication within our ranks I feel we should do more to keep them among us and do less hatchet-work, particularly when the hatchet-not only cuts our ow n throats but those of our children...This is the only future we have!
