The guest speaker was Brigadier-General Joseph Cutrona, United States Army, Retired, and former college professor and journalist. Gen. Cutrona, a recipient of the Distringuished Service Medal, the Silver Star, and five Legions of Merit, has served as Director of Defense Information, Chief of Army Programs, Public Information "rfficer for the United States Military Academy at West Point, and professor of journalism at St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin. Gen. Cutrona urged the graduates to live by a high standard of morality and to remain loyal to the ideals which the school has tried to instill.
Following the awarding of diplomas to the graduates. Valedictorian Paul Christopher White delivered the traditional farewell address. An honor student slated to begin college studies at the University of Virginia in the fall, young White thanks school officials for the rigorous academic training which he has received at Wakefield.
