Cake Walk
The highlight of the Fauquier Foxes 4-H horse and pony show held last week at Casanova was the special cake walk won by Marion Eastham of Red Hill Farm near Amissville.
The ring at Weston Game Preserve was filled with an assortment of two-footed and four-footed entries, close to 50 in all, who were willing to pay at least a dollar to benefit the Riding for the Handicapped program.
Marion and her companion, Urge For Gold, took home a magnificent, custom decorated butter cream frosted, lemon yellow horse shoe as their prize.
The duo also took a third place in the green horse hack class.
