Hampton District Supervisor Clarence Edward Baldwin, 62, of Washington, Va., died Sunday, April 6, at his home following a long illness.
Mr. Baldwin was born in Page County, October 12, 1923, the son of the late Oscar E. and Sarah E. Molden Baldwin.
A resident of Rappahannock County for many years, he was the retired owner of Baldwin’s Grocery. He was a member of the Gid Brown Bible Baptist Church and the Republican National Committee.
His wife Violet Burke Baldwin predeceased him.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan Baldwin Atkins, and a son, Steve E. Baldwin, both of Washington; three brothers, George B. Baldwin of Bluefield, Charles F. Baldwin of Washington and Aubrey L. Baldwin of Washington, D.C., and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 10, at the Clore Funeral Home Chapel in Culpeper, by the Rev. John Burke. Interment will follow at the Washington Masonic Cemetery.
