Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 8, at Geest-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. John Fan*ar officiating. Interment was at Fairview Cemetery in Culpeper.

Active pallbearers named were Willie Hume, Jr., Larry Jenkins, Kyle Jenkins, Michael Jenkins, David Jenkins and Ronnie Compton.

Kathleen Slaughter

Kathleen Rowe Slaughter, 57, of Culpeper, died Wednesday, April 2, at University of Virginia Hospital, Charlottesville. Mrs. Slaughter was a native of Washington, D. C., and had lived in Culpeper for many years. She was a member of Little Fork Episcopal Church.

She is survived by her husband, D. French Slaughter, Jr., of Culpeper; one daughter, Kathleen Slaughter Frey of Tucson, Arizona; one son, D. French Slaughter III of Charlottesville, and six grandchildren.

Additional survivors include her mother, Elizabeth Wilson Dugan of Washington, D. C.; two sisters, Elizabeth Fleming of Coronado, Calif., and Edith Crawford of Roayton, Conn., and one brother, Lionel Rowe Jr. of Coronado, Calif.

Funeral services were held at the Mitchells Presbyterian Church on Friday, April 4, with the Rev. John Desaulniers officiating. Interment was in the Mitchells Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the University of Virginia Hospital.

Clore Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
