Rappahannock High’s varsity baseball team picked up a pair of wins this week to remain undefeated at 3-0.
In their home opener, Panthers beat visiting Page County 10-6 Tuesday.
Tommy Jenkins pitched his third win in as many outings for the winners.
Last Friday, Rappahannock came from behind to post a 9-7 victory over home-standing Brentsville.
The Panthers combined for 13 hits during the contest, which marked the team’s first district game. Leaders at the plate were senior centerfielder Rob Brown, 3 for 4 with a triple; senior pitcher Tommy Jenkins, 3 for 4 with a double; junior first baseman Wayne Foster, 2 for 4 with four RBIs; freshman shortstop Doug Smith, 2 for 4. Rounding out the Panther bats with singles were catcher Chucky Jenkins, third baseman Craig Williams and rightfielder H. B. Wood.
