Book fair
The Rappahannock County Elementary School is sponsoring a student Book Fair April 11 through 17. Students will have an opportunity to browse and purchase the books which will be on display in the library from 8:15 until 3 p.m.
There will be no orders taken, so students should plan to purchase books during their library periods. No lists will be made and sent home. There is a large selection, however, with multiple copies available.
You are welcome to come in any time and look at the books and purchase any that you’d like to have.
The fair, which encourages student interest in reading and in building home libraries, will contribute to a worthwhile project. All profits will be used for the purchase of new books and materials for the library, according to Mrs. Lucia Kilby, librarian.
Susan Filiault
completes course
Army Reserve Private 1st Class Susan K. Filiault, daughter of Clarence R. Corbin of Amissville, has completed a unit and organization supply specialist course at the U.S. Army Quartermaster School, Fort Lee, Va.
Students were trained in the Army supply system, unit and organization supply, fitting of clothing, packaging and storing of supplies, and organizational maintenance of small arms.
PFC Filiault is a 1975 graduate of Culpeper High School.
