The committee studying the college preparatory programs at the high school recommended increased graduation requirements to the, School Board last week.
They suggested students be required to take at least three credits in academic, honors or advanced placement English instead of taking general English.
They also recommended a requirement that all take at least one credit in academic social studies, either advanced placement history, advanced placement government or sociology, economics or psychology.
They recommended that two credits be required in academic science, rather than one credit.
