The junior varsity came close to winning their games last week, but lost both with scores in the teens.
Coach Emily Wingate said she was missing two of her starters for the Manassas Park game, Erica Beaver and Holly Gangel, and that there were a lot of turnovers.
She said that her team played really well against B rentsville, ‘like a team.” Holly Gangel was back after being out a couple of weeks and played a really good game. Coach Wingate said that Nerissa Roberts did a very good job of ball handling, and Dawn Havstad had a strong game.
“We have never come that close to beating them,” said Coach Wingate.
The next home games will be against Page Co. next Tuesday.
