While some might be tempted to say a plague on both your houses and vote for Coleman, unless the independent can rise substantially in the next round of polling, he will be pronounced dead in the water.
Therefore, Virginians who want to cast a protest vote against Washington will have nowhere to turn but North if they want the vote to mean something. At least that’s they way the theory goes.
I think it has some validity because I know of some people who profess to still be undecided, yet I deeply suspect will end up voting for North because they say they are fed up with politicians in general. It’s not that they hold North in that high regard, but that he seems to be preaching the only truly anti-establishment message of the Senate contenders.
