That would mean three, rather than two math classes at the level of Algebra I or higher, three years of a foreign language or two years of two languages, and one credit in fine arts.
The committee 1 also recommended that at least two more advanced placement classes be offered, in government and chemistry and that honors English be piloted in grades 10 and 11 next year. They recommended that semester classes in sociology, economics, psychology, creative writing, humanities and drama become year-long classes.
They suggested additional academic electives in journalism, debate/public speaking, German and/or Latin, and environmental science/ geology.They suggested block scheduling may be needed to implement some of these plans and requested an in-house curriculum
