County youth, not just those living in the Flint Hill area.

The first meeting of the 4H year for the 4-H Nature Club was exciting! Under the leadership of Roger Andrews and Bruce Jones, this club learned about butterflies.

They saw the different stages from the caterpillar to the crystallist stage. This month, the club will take a field trip to Mr. Jones’ beautiful farm to learn tree identification.

The new 4-H Rabbit Club Mali begin the year with their first meeting on Oct. 11 at 5:30 p.m. at the Extension Office. The club will learn the parts of the rabbit and the care and raising of rabbits.

This club is open for new members. If you don’t have a rabbit, we can arrange to get you one.

Another new and exciting club is the 4-H Hiking/Outback Club. This club will meet on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 9 a.m. at Mountainside Market to take a hike. This club is open to any youth ages 9-19 years. Local hiker, Hunt Harris, will be assisting club leader, Lisa
