Food coloring

In a large bowl, beat sugar, butter and cream cheese until light and fluffy. Add orange juice, vanilla, egg and orange peel; mix well.

Add flour, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt. Mix until dough forms.

Cover with plastic wrap and chill for at least two hours.

Roll one-fourth of dough at a time to 1/4- or 1/8-inch thickness, keeping remaining dough refrigerated.

Cut leaf shapes with flbured cookie cutters and place one inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake at 375 degrees for about 5 minutes or until edges are light golden brown.

Remove from cookie sheets immediately and cook completely before frosting and decorating.

To decorate, beat the first six icing ingredients in a large bowl until light and fluffy, adding the milk a tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached.
